Haul: Stuff From Hotels

On Friday evening, I packed up a suitcase and went away for the weekend with my man for a much needed escape from home. We drove to Kingston to stay the night instead of driving all through the night to our destination. The Delta Kingston Waterfront Hotel is probably the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Even though we arrived at nearly 2am and left before noon, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly with a comfy bed and a deliciously prepared breakfast. The part that also stood out to me was that they provided Philosophy brand shower products for all guests! Having products in hotels that can be found at Sephora is something I’ve never heard of or seen before, so I was impressed. This wasn’t jsut a shampoo and conditioner either, we got a handful of goodies. The kit included the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, and a body bar. Needless to stay I stuffed all of these in our bags and took them home with me to use. We definitely took the time to smell all of the products though, and the pink conditioner was very sweet smelling. I’ve only ever tried the vanilla birthday cake body wash from that brand before, so I can’t wait to try out these sample sized products!

Next, we carried on to our destination in downtown Ottawa and although there was no Philosophy products, there were still some shower products for us to use and eventually take with us. They provided us with AMBR Green Tea Spa products, as most hotel brand products are unheard of, and I actually used some of them because we stayed in Ottawa for more than 10 hours. We got the shampoo, conditioner, and two body lotions. Two of them only because I moved the first one and they put a new one in the original spot when they cleaned our room while we were out exploring the town. There was also a special soap bar, but we had unwrapped that and left it there instead of taking it home. You can see I definitely have my hands full of sample sized products to use up now from my “hotel haul”… aka me taking all the free products I could!
