Haul: My March Finds

This was originally supposed to be part of my last post, but I left it separate because I thought I’d do a new post on all the products I’ve purchased lately. I’ve used all of these products this time around, so I can give a better review on them as well. So let’s get into it!

› Dove Refresh+Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo — I’ve always been on the hunt for a new and better dry shampoo, and I think I’ve finally found the one that can’t be beat! I actually bought this dry shampoo on the way to Ottawa a month ago, but I haven’t mentioned it yet, so I threw it into this haul post. I had heard a lot of good things about this dry shampoo, but the main note that stayed on my mind was that it does not leave a white residue in your hair. going about your daily business and all of a sudden noticing that you still have a patch of white dry shampoo visible isn’t the most lovely moment you’d probably want to happen. I bought it for that reason alone, and I think of the many times I’ve used it, I only saw residue once, but was easily dissolvable in my hair my massaging it in more. So I’m recommending this dry shampoo above the others that I’ve tried in the past for that reason. It also makes your hair look not as greasy on a day you don’t wash your hair, which is the main purpose of these dry shampoo products.

› Gold Studs iPhone Case — I’m a sucker for a new iPhone case every month or two, so when it came time to replace my previous iPhone case that was somewhat coming apart and getting dirtier than I’d of hoped, I stumbled across this case on Etsy. I love the mint colour and I’ve always liked the studded look for cases, but never went a far as to buy one until now. I always buy silicone cases for better protection in the chance that I drop my iPhone. This case also has a see-through casing in the back, and I thought that would be cool to see through to the white iPhone for once. Letting my iPhone vibrate on a hard surface does make me jump with how loud it is, so I’ve actually been using ringing noises instead of vibrating more often now.

› Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer Brightening — White a long product name for a small product! Don’t let its size fool you, but I’ve fallen in love with this product for my poor under eyes. I believe I’ve used one of these products in the past, but this time around I purchased the “Brightener” version of it, and it definitely brightens up the area around my eyes when I am lacking sleep. I’ve been using this daily since I bought it, and would recommend it to anyone needing their eyes to look a little more awake.

› tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes™ 4-in-1 Mascara — I only got this product in its sample size from using some of my points at Sephora on my last purchase. I wasn’t really in the market for a new mascara, but I thought I’d give this one a try to have a judgement on it in the future. Claiming to be a 4-in-1 mascara that is “lengthening, curling, volumizing, and conditioning” is really a lot of pressure to put on a product, but when I tried it out the following morning I was very surprised with the different it has compared to a lot of mascaras I’ve used before. It definitely lengthened and added volume to my lashes. I’m big on using waterproof mascara, and am not certain if this one has a waterproof forumla as well. I’ll be keeping this one on my radar!

› tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation + Airbuki Bamboo Powder Foundation Brush — As I was starting to hit pan on my two previous powder foundations, I started hearing a lot of hype surrounding the release of this new airbrush foundation. It’s supposed to have the coverage of a liquid foundation, but the finish of a powder. I really stick to my liquid foundations and use powder for a more matte-like finish, but I was intrigued by this particular product. The statement that really stuck in my mind, was that is had a much more natural finish than the Mac Studio Fix Powder, that I’ve stuck be for the past two years. I’m always up for more flawless and natural looking makeup! The part of this product that made me more hesitant to make the purchase was the additional price of the Airbuki Bamboo Powder Foundation Brush, that comes highly recommended for use of the foundation. I finally took the plunge and made the purchase. To be honest, I haven’t touched my liquid foundation since. I apply the powder foundation over some full coverage concealer and the under eye brightener concealer I previous listed and I’m pretty satisfied with the coverage and finish. I’m still testing out some looks with this product, but I’m very impressed with it so far and it was definitely worth the splurge!
