OOTD: Windy Sunday Florals

Even if you’re not into the whole Star Wars “May the fourth be with you” fandom of today’s special date, there was definitely a force in the air today! The wind was battling against me in every way it could while outside for these photos, so the amount of non-messy hair, hair stuck to lipstick photos were very few.

On a recent trip to the mall I went to Aritzia in hopes to purchase a blazer that I recently rediscovered and fell back in love with in my closet, but I wanted it in another colour, but they were no where to be found in store. I may resort to ordering that one online in the upcoming future because it fits so perfectly. But, that trip to Aritzia did not leave me empty-handed at all. At first glance around the store, I spotted a dress that looked really nice, but my eyes quickly switched to a blazer with the same floral print. This is the Talula Kent Blazer in Black/Oak. I told myself I owned enough of the Kent blazers, but this dark floral print was a definitely purchase or I would regret it and think about it every day.

I continued to search around the store to see if anything would catch my eye and looking through some sleeveless blouses, the sales girl handed me this Wilfred Concorde Tank in Black/Confucius and again, I knew I had to make it mine. I tried it on first to make sure it fit nicely, and it fit perfectly! I usually don’t gravitate towards purchasing warmer coloured clothing pieces, but I felt this one wasn’t too bright. I also don’t own any peplum shaped shirts yet, so this is the first piece in my closet with the peplum shape to it! It’s not noticeable in the photos because I was having a hard enough time to keep the wind from blowing the shirt up (I did say the wind was battling against me as much as it could!) so maybe it will make a re-appearance in a future outfit post without a layer on top of it. I normally wouldn’t wear these two pieces together, but I wanted to double floral print it up to make sure I got to show you both new clothing items I am very happy to own now!
