Mondays aren’t the same for everyone, but I think they are universally seen as the worst day of the week in most people’s minds. This is mainly because it’s the beginning of a new work week when no one wants to jump head-first into a productive work mode. So when I saw this top in Zara yesterday, I knew right away that I wanted to wear it on a Monday around the office, and I did just that! My new “I’m not a Monday person” t-shirt brings much joy to my life on the first day of the work week today.
Seeing as I sit behind two relatively large computer screens all day, no one really gets to see my wardrobe choices except for my co-workers, who I hope would also feel the same as me about my shirt. The shirt is a very loose-fit top, even at a size small. I was really hoping they would have an x-small, but I was out of luck with that one. It’s a very thin material, so it becomes a perfect light layer for summer, but you have to be careful with what you wear with it because it is thin enough to show what is underneath it. It was under and part of the first haul of items I have ever purchased at Zara.
I paired it with my classic BDG Black Cigarette Mid-Rise Jeans from Urban Outfitters and added a pop of bright colour with my new NARS Velvet Matt Lip Pencil in Red Square. I really branched out into the world of orange-red lipstick when I bought this product yesterday. For anyone looking close enough, I painted my nails with one of my recent favourites, the Coco & Lulu by Cake Nail Lacquer in “OMG I Love This Colour”.
