OOTD: Summer Daze

I’m back with another Outfit of the Day post! This is the first post I’ve done with my new pink hair that I did myself earlier this week. I’ve added pink to the ends of my hair for a bit of a more noticeable change with my hair this summer. I’ve got a bunch of the dye left so I could keep this going for quite a while! I want to give a big thank you to my friend Natasha for taking this photo. She always seems to capture some of the best photos of me. Anyways, onto this summer heat inspired outfit details…

› Garage Printed Banded Back Bralette [link] // First up, I’ve been relying on these Garage bralettes all summer long and I thought to bring out my black and white topical print one for this outfit. I usually don’t wear cropped tops, but I felt it went nicely into this outfit, keeping a kicked back and relax vibe. When you are facing the summer heat, you definitely want to keep it as light as possible with clothing pieces and this is why it is one of my staple pieces.

› Topshop Cut Out Rose Lace Skirt [link] // The delicate-looking, yet stunning clothing piece in this outfit is the cut out rose lace skirt. It looks so elegant and perfect for a classy summer’s day. I couldn’t say no when I saw this in Topshop and it was the last one available and in my size! It was meant to be mine. The top made the outfit really relaxed, but I find that the skirt really brings it forward as a more fashionable outfit as a whole.

› Topshop Turnlock Satchel in Blue [link] // Possibly my favourite item that I’ve purchased all summer long is this bright baby blue satchel from Topshop. I saw it on the website and when I made a trip to the nearest store I looked around until my eye spotted it in the sale section for a fraction of the original price. Originally $50 and I got it on sale for $20. I’ve downsized my usual bigger black bag to this satchel for the summer mostly for the reason that i don’t have to carry it on my arms. The long shoulder strap makes it easy to throw on and run out the door whenever I go out. It fits just enough for my cards, money, sunglasses, keys, and iPhone – and a lipstick or other small items if needed. The colour is so bright and cheerful too!

No outfit is complete in the summer without a pair of sunglasses. I gave my normal sunglasses a break when I picked up these cheap pair of blue reflecting sunnies from Forever21. They are no longer listed on the website, but there are a whole bunch of cheap sunglasses available right now! Always a good bargain if you can find a style and colour you like. That wraps up this outfit and possibly my new favourite photo of myself for the next month or so. What do you think of this outfit for summer – and the pink hair? Let me know in the comments!
