I’m back with another OOTD post! It’s not too often you catch me in a dress, especially during a work day. But yesterday’s outfit features a brand new item of clothing I bought over the weekend and a couple recent beauty finds that I couldn’t help but share with you. Let’s dive into the details now…
The main star of this outfit is the Topshop Stripe Bodycon Tunic dress I picked up over the weekend and already love it! I’m not always a big fan of the bodycon style dress, but once in a while I will pick up a new one to try out. The main benefit is that I don’t have to worry about it blowing up with the wind, so that’s a major plus for dresses like this one. The really dark navy side panels of the dress are a nice touch and add a smiling effect to the design of the dress. I bought a size larger than I normally would so that I had some breathing room, or in case I wanted to actually eat a meal and not completely regret it, it still fits fairly snug. A thicker material helps keep is soft and warming. I will have to experiment how to make it work for the cooler autumn weather that is fast approaching because I definitely want to keep wearing this dress over the next while. Thank you to anyone that has already complimented me on this dress!
A recent addition to my lipstick collection is the Limecrime Opaque Lipstick in Glamour 101. I’ve always wanted to try Limecrime products and finally made a purchase recently, one Velvetine and one opaque lipstick. I picked a colour that wasn’t as outrageous and daring as some of their unicorn-like shades and ended up with this deeper red shade. I wore it with this outfit and it definitely added that extra flash of glamour into the outfit as a whole. The lipstick did slowly fade throughout he day as I ate and drank coffee, but was still left with a great first impression of this product. I’m definitely tempted to try out some others from the range.
Although you can’t see it in the photo, I am wearing the Topshop Matte Nails in Mariachi Madness. As a nail polish fanatic, I had to give the Topshop brand a try and decided to go for a darker cobalt blue shade in the matte finish. I am very impressed with how long this product has lasted to far as I’ve had it on since the beginning of the week and very little wear is showing, only a few chips here and there. No matter what, I find a way to chip my nail polish, intentionally and unintentionally. I really have an addiction to the cobalt blue shades of nail polish lately, and this one is in the running to be a favourite. I will definitely be picking up more shades next time I am able to make the trip out to the store.
