My last product review post was about soap bars, and I realize that using bars of soap is not everyone’s preferred method of getting themselves clean. I’ve opted for a second post to shine a spotlight on two of the body washes that I currently have in rotation in my shower at the moment for the days when I feel like reaching for a bottle rather than a bar.
I have always had my eye on the Soap & Glory stand in Shoppers Drug Mart over the past year because of their beautiful packaging and great looking selection of products. I always pick up the body washes, but have never actually purchased the body wash until now. The reason why it took so long was that I was hoping and wishing for the orange-scented version would find its way to Canada one day and I would buy that one. I realized that was not going to happen, so I bought the very popular and raved about Clean On Me Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel. This product contains natural mandarin peel extract and a bonus built-in body lotion which will be extra helpful now that winter is fast approaching with the recent snowy weather outside. The scent is hard for me to put my finger on, but it is apparently Soap & glory’s own “Original Pink fragrance” and for some reason that kind of describes it to me. I was originally going to go with a creamy almond sent to describe it, but if you imagine a creamy orange scent but then in your mind make it slightly “pink” – that also describes it. I like the pump dispenser on this bottle, which makes it a bit easier to get at then having to squeeze out of a bottle. I have since realized I could order the orange-scented shower gel from Amazon.ca, but I will wait until I have finished this bottle until I make that purchase.
Next, moving on to a slightly different product as it is the Arbonne Foaming Sea Salt Scrub from the SeaSource Detox Spa collection. I recently had the chance to learn a lot about the history behind the Arbonne company and really took in how much emphasis they have on wanting the best for your skin for the best results. This foaming body scrub gently exfoliates and cleanses the skin’s surface, increasing microcirculation as it stimulates the skin to promote a softer, smoother look. The smell is very zesty in fresh, which I would definitely desperately need during a morning shower to give that extra help in waking up. It is important to note that this brand stands firmly behind the idea that no products should be tested on animals, but goes a step further to make sure that animals are not made to be any part of the creation of their products. This really stands out in a pile of products when one holds this belief so high and sticks with it through all their ranges of products. This is a great quality product that definitely helps clean you and makes sure there was no animal ingredients or testing involved in the process – vegan-friendly! If you want to know more about what Arbonne has to offer, please contact my friend Karyn (email: karynmelfi@gmail.com or phone/text: 289-456-3323) as she is overflowing with kindness and will be happy to help you with anything Arbonne-related. I wouldn’t have discovered this brand, their message, or this wonderful product without her help. If you want see what products are available through this brand you can head on over to www.arbonne.ca to have a look for yourself!
