Dupe Alert: Marcelle Eyeshadow Quad

There has been a lot of talk about an amazing eye shadow palette that costs more than a pretty penny, but beauty bloggers everywhere are forking over their money in order to own the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palettes, but more specifically in one of the more recent releases: the Dolce Vita eye shadow palette. In Canadian pricing, the palette would be about $50-60 for the four sought after eye shadow shades, but I am coming to the rescue for a much cheaper version with amazing pigment and staying power.

The Marcelle Eye Shadow Quad in the shade Mona Lisa is quite similar in the colour range to the Charlotte Tilbury quad, maybe a tiny bit cooler-toned. The colours may not be a perfect match, but it is still fairly similar in my mind. It’s a bit more rose and purple based than the rich red and chocolate shades of the other. I could just be really biased to cooler toned eye make-up in general.

There are many other quad colour combos available in the range, but this one is by far my favourite. The Marcelle quad just happens to be a much more affordable price than the Charlotte Tilbury one, costing less than $20. The formula is a nice ultra-silky texture and blends like a dream. Without eye shadow primer it does do a good job without creasing, but I usually use eye shadow primer anyway to make sure it lasts through the day.

This eye shadow quad would be perfect for taking with you on a trip because it has a great selection of shades to create multiple looks from. From simple minimal daytime eye make-up to a dramatic night time look, this palette can do it all. I think it would really bring out green eyes because purple eye make-up really makes green eyes pop. As a bonus, this selection of eye shadows is ophthalmologist tested, paraben-free, perfume-free, gluten-free, and hypoallergenic.
