March 2015 Empties

When you try to use less products, you end up with less empties. I really thought I had at least another item or two in my empties box, but I only had a handful of items to discuss with you this month.

The first thing you may notice is my repeat purchase (yes, again) of the Aveeno Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Wipes, simply because they are the best from all the makeup removing wipes that I have tried and provide the most amount of moisture to your face in the process, therefore leaving your face feel fresh and clean. All year round your face needs to stay hydrated, so as long as they keep this product on the shelf I will be repurchasing it over and over again. It is a harder product to find at times, so I usually buy it when I happen to find it and know I will be running out at some point soon. I cannot say enough good things about this product.

You also may have noticed that there is a double dose of deodorant empties in the photo. This does not mean that I went crazy with deodorant lately, but I just happened to finish up two lately. If my memory is functioning, I am pretty sure I finished them up within a day of one another. For anyone that knows how bad it is to have aluminum in your deodorant products, the Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant is something that should definitely be on your radar! I got a limited release scent last summer of the Vanilla Summer scent, which added a little bit of a tropical scent into the otherwise normal vanilla smelling product. This scent may not be around for purchase anymore, but the whole range has a good selection of vanilla based options to choose from! The second product may confuse you a bit. The only reason why I purchased the Old Spice Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant is because of the scent, which is called Denali. I know this product range is meant for men, but I loved the scent and wanted to have the option of an anti-perspirant product, so I bought it. I have since purchased a new one of each, but with a slight difference for each of them.

We have a couple smaller travel size products that I finished up and can finally give my thoughts about. Firstly, the Smashbox Iconic Photo Finish Foundation Primer is one of the greatest primers I have ever tried and think it it the greatest of all of the Smashbox primers available today. It does a great job at priming the face before you apply your makeup and makes everything last that much longer throughout the day. The second travel sized product I finished up was the Jurlique Herbal Recovery Night Cream. I got this in a two part set for the rose-scented products that had rose water in the products. First of all, if you do not like the smell of roses, then you may have an issue with this night cream. I really enjoy the rose scent, so this was a great scent for a night cream as I drifted off to dream land. This cream did a great job at providing an overnight antioxidant boost for skin to reveal a fresh and hydrated face in the morning when I woke up. I will be keeping this one in mind for future purchases, but it is no longer available on the Canadian Sephora website, so that may create an issue somewhere down the line.

I can tell that I will be collecting more empties for the end of April because I can see some products meeting their final days soon, so hopefully more variety and products will be reviewed in next month’s empties blog post.
