Spring Empties 2015, Part 1

Spring Empties Spring Empties

If you noticed a lack of an empties post last month, then you notice these things well! I saved a few of my usual monthly blog posts to do more collective and just in general better posts this month. I am splitting this blog post into two different posts.

The product that I was saddest about finishing off was the Dr. Jart+ Black Label Detox BB Beauty Balm. This is my favourite light coverage base product of all time and unfortunately have to order it online instead of picking it up in stores. I will be repurchasing this one against shortly though because I really like the amount of coverage this product gives for a BB cream for the days when I do not want to layer on the heavier full coverage foundations. This brand is not talked about often, but I definitely think it deserves more attention! If you want to read more about this product, I wrote about it here.

I am the type of person who will sole use one type of eyeliner, and for me it has to be liquid. I tossed my old liquid eyeliners and purchased a new one because these two empties were seeing the last of their days. Both the Stila Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner (in Black) and Kat Von D Ink Liner (in Trooper) are fantastic eyeliners that are easy to use, last all day, and last a long time, but all products eventually meet their demise and are eventually replaced. I would recommend both of these, and I did repurchase the Stila one again as it is probably my most purchased liquid eye liner and this may be my third or fourth one now. One day I want to buy a cobalt or indigo blue version of one of these products and give them a whirl.

A face primer that I have talked about before on this blog, the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer is a primer that I actually really loved, but only ever had a mini version of because the full size product is quite expensive. Maybe one day I will take the plunge and make the purchase, but I still have quite a handful of primers to make my way through until that day comes. This primer slides on like a dream and makes your foundation application that much easier, also pro-longing the wear time of your make-up throughout the day.

Breaking away from the beauty portion of this empties blog post, I want to discuss a hand cream that I have run out of again (and almost another one). The Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream has been a staple product for me over the years and a saviour to boot. My eczema hands love this product more than words can explain and really help when they break out with extreme dry spots and need the moisturize ASAP! I will keep buying this hand cream because it really does the best from all the ones I have tried, and now I have the overnight formula of the same line to get me through the night.

Throwing in an odd product to the empties, a toothpaste. Usually I won’t post about when I finish a toothpaste, but this product deserves some attention. The LUSTER NOW! Instant Whitening Toothpaste is a great toothpaste for people that need that extra bit of help with making yellowish teeth appear whiter. The formula gives off a blue tint (not noticeable on the teeth) that really does make your teeth appear a bit whiter than usual. This is not the greatest toothpaste for fighting any breath-related issues, so I tend to double this one up with a normal strong flavoured toothpaste, just because that’s how I roll.
