Welcome back for part two of my Spring 2015 Empties! This portion of the spring empties will be more focused on hair and skin care products, while the first installment was more focused on beauty products and a few randoms. If you missed the first segment of this post, you can catch up here.
The first product I will talk about is the Bumble and bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish spray, one of my holy grail hair styling products. This is a very light and translucent dry spray that really helps to give you instant fullness and texture in your hair. For people with fine hair, like myself, this product really helps amp up the volume in my hair and helps extend my hair style that extra day if I really need to. This is not a substitute for dry shampoo by any means, but if used with dry shampoo, it just works wonders. I will continue to repurchase this one for quite some time! As an additional comment, Estée of Essiebutton considers this product to have a fantastic scent and that is what she think Ryan Gosling smells like.
Speaking of dry shampoo, I have finally finished up my most recent bottle of Batiste Dry Shampoo. My favourite scent of this is the coconut and exotic Tropical version of the dry shampoo. I love my Batiste products, but I think I will be off them for a little while because I am just trying to go through products that I have and I am plenty happy with my Bumble and bumble Prêt-à-Powder dry shampoo at the moment. As a cheap alternative, I would highly recommend Batiste products, specifically the Tropical version of it, as it is usually under C$10.
The last hair product is the Bumble and bumble Surf Foam Wash Shampoo and the matching Conditioner. I bought these quite a long time ago and am finally finishing them off. I loved the original Surf Spray and thought that these two products would continue my love for the whole “Surf” range. It did, and did not. I love when I use a shampoo that lathers up in my hair, but that was very minimal with the shampoo. Compared to other brands, my hair does not always feel the softest afterwards, but if you have ever used the Surf Spray, then you might understand how it leaves your hair after, as if you just went swimming. I likely won’t repurchase these ones again because I did prefer the Thickening range from the same brand a little bit better.
Onwards to the skin care products now! The first two that I am going to talk about are both from the same brand, OZ Naturals. I have gone through the OZ Naturals Super Youth Eye Gel and I have rally been enjoying it as a natural eye gel that I was applying morning and night under my eyes to help keep them moisturized. If you wish to read more about this product, you can do so here. Also from the same brand, I have finished my OZ Naturals Ocean Mineral Tonic, with is a facial toner spray that I used morning and night in order to control the pH levels of my skin and keep it refreshed and healthy before applying my daily moisturizer. This product is very similar to the LUSH Breath of Fresh Air, but I prefer the scent of the LUSH one more.. Both of these products were great and I would consider buying them again.
For some reason it took me ages to finish this little mini sized version of the GLAMGLOW YouthMud™ TingleExfoliate Treatment. This mud-based mask is wild popular in the world of beauty and great skin, which is why it is so expensive for the full sized product. I don’t think I would ever take the plunge on this purchase, but this sample size lasted me a few uses and my skin felt fantastic after washing it off. It is really great to treat your skin to a product like this now and then, but I am sure there are much less pricey products out there that can give similar results.
Lastly, a very common product to find in these empties blog posts is my favourite makeup wipes, the Aveeno Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Wipes. Two months and two packages is pretty decent because that means although I do rely on these wipes a lot to help take off my makeup and hydrate my face at the end of the day, I did not always rely on these and have been using my cleansing gels and facial cleansers to go in and make sure that my makeup is always off my face at the end of every day. I will always repurchase this product for as long as they keep making them as I think they do a great job and are very moisturizing at the same time.
That’s it for all of my springtime empties! I am not sure if I will try to go back to more of a monthly run with the empties posts or if I will try to gather them more throughout the months and make it more of a seasonal posting.
