NOTICE: For the month of August there will be no blog updates or new posts. I am taking a break from blogging in order to teach myself how to relax because things have become a bit more stressful than I can handle lately and need to back out of certain things in order to focus and relax. In September I will be back with an update on this blog’s status.
The empties pile has been growing a bit slowly lately, so I am rounding up another two months of products for this summer empties post. I have thrown a lot of old products out over the past while, but these are just the products that I have actually used up completely. I will give a quick run down of my final thoughts for each products and decide if I would repurchase it again in the future or not.
The LUSH Breath of Fresh Air Toner was my first venture into the world of spray toners and it made me fall in love with them. Water spray toners just make the skin care routine process a whole lot faster in my opinion and a lot less wasteful because you do not waste a bunch of cotton pads applying it. You just need a couple spritzes of this toner and you are good to move on to your next step in your skin care routine. I particularly love the LUSH ones because they smell great and seem to last forever. I still have the rose scented one on the go at the moment, and I love them both, making it hard to decide in the future for which to repurchase. I would ultimately buy this one again because it was fantastic!
I was really excited about the re-release of the Surf spray, but the Bumble and bumble Surf Infusion didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. It may be the unpopular opinion about this product, but the oil side of this new formula did not get along well with my hair and made it seem a lot greasier a whole lot faster. I am glad I only got the mini size of this product because I will stick with the original formula of the Surf Spray from here on out.
One of my favourite trusty make-up removing cleansing waters, Bioderma Sensibio H2O is always a great product to trust for sensitive skin. I am currently maybe more in love with the Marcelle cleansing water due to how it comes out of a pump and really easy to use with cotton pads, but Bioderma is always a great one to fall back on.
Speaking of makeup removers, I finished up this smaller size of the Caudalie Make-Up Remover Cleansing Water and was a big fan of it as well. This product felt very fresh to use and smelled great, as do all Caudalie products. This micellar water gently remove impurities and cleanses without drying out your skin. It is a bit on the pricier side than the drug store alternatives, but I really enjoyed the sample version of this that I got in a 500 point perk from Sephora!
Always in the empties blog posts, my favourite hand cream is the Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream. I feel like I am always repeating the same review of this product over and over again, but if you would care to read it you can click through to my last empties blog post here.
Lastly, the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub is a product that I am really happy to have used up, only because it freed up so much space in the bathroom now. It had a fantastic scent of sweet lime and lemons, definitely easy to recognize. The product itself did a great job at exfoliating my skin and revealing the soft and smooth skin after each shower. I would consider getting this one again maybe one day, but I might want to give this brand’s other scrubs a chance first. I do like the alternate route of using all natural scrubs (here, here, and here) just because you know absolutely everything that had gone into making these scrubs.
