My Introduction to Charlotte Tilbury

Charlotte Tilbury Haul: Blush and Lip Cheat

Before I took my month hiatus from the blog, I made an order through Beautylish.com to get my hands on my very first products from the highly acclaimed makeup brand, Charlotte Tilbury. I have been hearing non-stop praise about this brand of cosmetics, and I just knew that I needed to get my hands on a few of the products to introduce myself to the luxury of this brand.

If sold in Sephora, it would be a relatively decent price range compared to all of the other products in Sephora, but unfortunately this brand is a little bit harder to get your hands on in North America. There are some select stores that sell this brand (I’m looking at you Holt Renfrew), but I still consider it hard to access, unless you order it online. Beautylish had a nice option of splitting up payments over a few months to make it seem like the payment was not as dangerous for your bank account. The delivery time was outstanding and it made it to my house in less than 24 hours, but I was not home to accept the package so I got it the following day. By the way, this post was not sponsored by either the website or brand, I just happen to like praising each of these for their own reasons.

First up, let’s talk about the lip liner. The Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in the shade Pillowtalk is one of the biggest crazes when it comes to this brand, that I had been exposed to anyways. This is one of those “your lips but better” shades of a lip liner, but slightly more on the pink side. I have only used this a few times since I got it, but I find that the formula of it is very rich, velvety, and smooth and very easy to apply. The product itself is waterproof and really helps your lipstick stay in place all day long. The colour payoff is great and comes in handy when you want to perfect a nude lip look. As always, you can always skip the lipstick part all together and just wear this lip liner alone on your lips all day.

The second product I decided to order was the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek To Chic Swish & Pop Blusher in the shade Sex on Fire. Yes, I did pick this shade because it has the same name as one of my all time favourite songs by Kings of Leon. I also ultimately decided on this blush, despite not hearing it mentioned much throughout the internet, because it had that slightly deeper shade that I know would work perfectly for the autumn and winter months. This blush allows you to apply your blush in a couple of different ways, by sweeping your brush around the outside lighter colour for a natural finish, or dabbing your brush in the center for more of a pop of colour to your cheeks.

My next “must have” from this brand is one of their lipsticks. According to the world of beauty bloggers and vloggers, these lipsticks are at the top of their game and that means I must at least try one of them. There was a limited edition release of two new shades over the summer and the shade I wanted sold out by the time I convinced myself to order it, so I will wait a bit longer to see which one I can get, and hopefully pick up in person in Holt Renfrew in downtown Toronto if available.
