A Mini Marc Jacobs Beauty Brand Haul

Marc Jacobs Beauty is more than just pretty packaging.

There is something so classy and minimalist about the Marc Jacobs Beauty packaging that draws me towards it every single time. I finally gave in and brought an item that has been on my “want list” for quite a while, as well as a newer item. I picked up a highly praised primer and a new cream highlight product. Continue reading for my thoughts so far on both of these high-end beauty products.

First up, I gave in and purchased the Marc Jacobs Beauty Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer. Could it have a longer name? Probably. This is a moisturizing primer that promises to be skin-smoothing and extends the time makeup stays on your face. I can definitely attest to the fact that it is a highly moisturizing primer. It goes on almost feeling like a very thin moisturizer with a liquid-cream consistency. It is infused with five different types of coconut in order to nourish and hydrate your skin. Does it extend the wear of my makeup? I can’t answer this one because it seems to do just about the same as all other primers I have tried on my somewhat oily skin. The simple and modern classy Marc Jacobs Beauty packaging it the thing that sends it over the edge to “I need this in my collection” status.

Onwards to the more impulsive on-the-spot purchase, the Marc Jacobs Beauty Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator. I have a few highlighting products already, so why purchase this cream highlighter stick? Convenience mostly, but also giving into temptation. I do not own any cream highlight products and thought it would be a neat addition to my collection. It glides on very easily for application and comes in a very convenient and portable package. It resembles a deodorant stick, but much more classy (and expensive). This highlighter is apparently in a universal shade for everyone that is able to create an instant dewy look. When I apply this product I usually take my beauty blender and blend to get rid of harsher lines. I try to make an unnatural highlight look a little bit more natural. A girl can try.

Have you tried either of these products? Let me know what you think in the comments below! Also let me know if you have tried any other products from the brand. I have tried a few others, but definitely always have my eye on the product stand in Sephora and online.
