The Internet has a growing obsession with the Huda Beauty products available through Sephora. I eventually had to jump on the bandwagon and see what the fuss was all about. I started with the limited release of the three-piece Lip Contour Set.
The Huda Beauty Lip Products
The kit contains one lip contour matte pencil and two mini liquid matte lipsticks in similar shades. The kit’s purpose is to help people recreate the trending lip contouring technique. In each kit, you receive a full-size of a Lip Contour liner and two mini Liquid Mattes in complementary shades. In my kit, I have the darker rose shade, Trophy Wife, and more muted rose, Muse. The lip liner matches closer to the Trophy Wife shade but I believe can be used for both shades if worn separately.
I love the application and wear of these liquid lipsticks. The scent is pleasant and sweet, but not too obnoxiously in-your-face sweet. They are very comfortably lightweight and wear for quite a long time. Some people say that they are not as dry as other brands, and I agree. There is a bit of moisture in the product throughout the day that keeps it from drying your lips out. It still dries quite matte, which is always the finish I prefer. The drying time is fairly quick, so you have a small window to work with it before it sets to matte.
I have since purchased a full-size version of another shade, Cheerleader, which is “a delicately muted red”. It can be dangerous how many of these shades I still want to purchase. I hope they bring back the contour sets in the future because I think more people may buy them that way. Needless to say, I would still recommend these products if you are a liquid lipstick fan.
