My Vanity Tour Overview: Skincare

Welcome to my daily skincare situation! This is what I stare at every morning while I go through my morning and night time skincare routines. While I am really happy with the products on my counter, I thought I would take the opportunity to do a quick overview. I do not use all of these products daily, but I have my favourite products to pick from each day.

The Skincare Vanity Tour

I start and end every day with a variety of skincare products. Sometimes I go through a lighter routine, while other times I go the full nine yards and go through every step possible. There is a pretty good mixture of trusted products I have been using for a while and some products that are newer additions this year. I’ll go through the products in order of how I would apply them.

Toners

My cleansers and micellar are not pictured here, so I will start with my toners. I currently switch between the LUSH Tea Tree Water toner spray and the Pixi Glow Tonic toners. I like the ease of the spray because it does not use up as many cotton pads because it can be sprayed directly on your face.

Essences and Serums

I am over the moon in love with the Saturday Skin Freeze Frame Beauty Essence. I love the consistency of the essence, as it’s not too runny or watery like other essences. The citrus scent makes me look forward to applying it every single time.

As for serums, I currently use my Soroci NMF Serum during the daytime, and very recently added the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum to my night time routine. I have heard amazing things about this product and really hope it lives up to the hype.

Facial Treatments and Moisturizers

One of my trusted repurchases, the Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment‎ comes in as a knockout product. I went off this product for a while due to its steep price point, but had to repurchase when my skin took a turn for the worst. I am very glad to have it back in my collection.

My go to facial oil has been the Sunday Riley U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil. With tea tree oil as a main ingredient and a scent that my boyfriend oddly really enjoys, I use this oil to keep my face demons under control.

When it comes to keeping my skin hydrated on a regular basis, I have been using the Arbonne Calm Gentle Daily Moisturizer for the last two years. My skin is on the sensitive side of the spectrum, so this gentle moisturizer has been perfect for me. Sometimes you just stick with what you know works, and this has been the case for me.

The Extras

My EOS Visibly Soft Lip Balm in Vanilla Mint is a staple for whenever I am near the bathroom, as I will run in and apply it. I have a couple other of these lip balms around, just to make sure my lips stay hydrated and smooth.

Now this is where I fool you. My faded spray bottle of the Kate Somerville Nourish spray is actually my setting spray. I loved the spray nozzle on this bottle so much that after I used the Nourish spray up completely, I refilled it with my Urban Decay De-slick setting spray. I found that the US spray sometimes got clogged on me, so this was a perfect solution for me. Not exactly skincare, but I keep it clumped in with these products anyways.

I will be doing the second part to this post very shortly with all of my makeup. You can see it slightly poking through in the background of the photo. Come back to the blog soon to learn more about my daily makeup options!
