OOTD: Mixing Stripes and Spots

Are you finding it hard to fight the urge to leave the house in comfy sweatpants and sweaters? That Autumn weather is rolling in and when I don’t have to leave the house I dress comfy AF. When I manage to get myself out of my house and around town, I find small ways to class up my outfit a bit, while still keeping a comfy element to my outfit. Mixing patterns can be dangerous, but it can also be fun. Some things can work together nicely and compliment each other. I feel in my instance, this outfit of the day pairs together a  striped top paired nicely with this not so subtle leopard print cardigan.Alone, the white on black striped off-shoulder top is ultimately my favourite clothing piece I have added to my closet lately.

The Stripes

Alone, the white on black striped off-shoulder top is ultimately my favourite clothing piece I have added to my closet lately. I love how effortlessly chic it can make any outfit. It can be worn off the shoulders or with more a sleeve effect depending on your preference. It is rather flowy, so I can tend to tuck the back of the shirt into my pants for a bit more shape to my figure. I’ve said it before (like for the recent dress outfit), I love off shoulder styles! You can probably see me finding ways to style these stripes for the rest of eternity on Instagram.

The Cardigan

The cardigan is more of the statement piece to this outfit. While the top classed things up a bit, this cardigan adds the more casual and comfy element to the outfit as a whole. The rest of the outfit was fairly dark in colour, so the addition of another pattern was safe because it was not too distracting or disruptive to the other pieces. I have always thought leopard print items were a great thing to have as an option in your wardrobe. I was so happy to spot it cardigan on the TOBI website.

Ripped Jeans

I usually can be found wearing denim, and there is a 99% chance that it’s American Eagle denim. In this case, I kept the dark theme from the top with my faded dark grey ripped denim jeggings. They really do a great job of making their jeggings as close to denim as possible!
