Use Eight Hour Cream to Moisturize this Winter

elizabeth arden eight hour cream collection

You probably don’t need me to remind you of the weather situation outside right now. If you are in Canada or somewhere else in the world experiencing the real winter temperatures, we are in this together. Our skin is drying out from the chilling temperatures and we need all the help we can get. There are many ways to help keep your skin hydrated, but I am writing about one particular collection today. This collection is the Eight Hour Cream range from Elizabeth Arden.

The Magic of the Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant

The star of this product line-up is the Skin Protectant. It is a balm that protects against the elements that cause dryness, chapping, and peeling. Speaking as someone that has had my hands get so dry that they crack and burn, never let it get this far. It is a universal product that can be used for more than just hydrating cream for your skin. Let’s go through the list! It acts as a great skin soother after exposure to the sun. Don’t have aloe lotion nearby? Use this instead. Bring it on a flight to help fight the air in the plane from drying out your skin as well. Use this balm on your legs post-shave to calm down any sign of redness. Similarly, use on feet and cuticles to help smooth and soften those areas.

Can this cream be used in makeup instances as well? You bet! This balm can be used to add shine to your face wherever you want to reflect the light. Your face and body will be beaming in all the right ways. You can also use this balm on your eyebrows as a brow gel to keep them in one place throughout the day. When I said it could do it all, I wasn’t kidding. They have the original version of the Skin Protectant, but they also have a fragrance-free version for those that could do without the scent. I prefer natural scents most of the time, so I reached for the fragrance-free tube myself. A lot of luxurious brands come with very fragrant scents and I usually prefer to avoid anything too perfume-like. Having fragrance-free versions of products is a big win in my books!

The Rest of the Eight Hour Cream Products

Elizabeth Arden knows how to perfect the Skin Protectant, and also continue a collection. This product range extends to several other products to help make your life a little more enjoyable. There are quite a few products in the range, but I am discussing a few that I have had the pleasure of trying.

First up, we have the Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturizing Hand Treatment. If you want something more than the balm that is strictly meant for moisturizing your hands, this is your product. This is a fast-absorbing cream with a gel-like consistency. It helps keeps your hands hydrated for up to eight hours, hence the collection name. A lot of hand moisturizers skin into the skin and disappear soon after. This one is definitely in high-rotation for me.

Another struggle of the winter time is dry and cracked lips. You can bet that Elizabeth Arden included a nourishing lip balm in this collection. The Eight Hour Cream Intensive Lip Repair Balm is a very hydrating lip balm to help with the worse that your lips can go through with the winter elements. Help repair your lips this winter, and year-round, with this balm that is sure you wow you.

Are you a fan of oils? Elizabeth Arden has something for you as well. The Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil is for your face, body, and hair. Yes, an oil for all three things. This multi-purpose oil helps provide moisture where where you need it the most. It has claims of hydrating longer than the normal eight hours, going all the way up to twelve hours. Before you ask about the greasy factor, there is none.

Will you be picking up anything from Elizabeth Arden or this specific product range? Let me know in the comments! I was definitely blown away by how helpful these products have been so far this winter.
