I’m a girl that did her best to get the best high-coverage matte makeup for years. So setting a goal for radiant skin this summer is a real switch up for me. Over the past half a year, I have really lightened up on my makeup routine, going makeup-less most days. When you leave the house without makeup, you want to skin to look its absolute best. A natural glow and radiance is a really good way to look bright and summer-ready right now. Everyone is all about that glow and highlight right now! It doesn’t look like this trend is going anywhere anytime soon. So let’s take a look at a few key players that I have been favouring this month. These don’t necessarily all promote that glow, but these products are what I have been loving to ensure healthy looking skin. Healthy skin is happy skin!
Starting with a Serum for Radiant Skin
Ever since I received the Origins Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Advanced Face Serum, I’ve been in love with it. The whole Mega-Mushroom collection is really suited for my skin because it really helps with calming sensitive skin. If my skin is anything these days, it’s very sensitive. It’s all over the place with everything else; it’s oily, dehydrated, dry, acne-prone, you know… all that fun stuff! This face serum works on soothing any irritations and helps support your skin’s natural resilience. This is what is really helping make my skin start repairing itself and helping it be its best. You can see I have already used a good portion of the bottle and will definitely be buying this again once I run out.
Hydration with Vitamin C Benefits
I have been going through a rotation of different face moisturizers, but one of them that I have really been enjoying is one from Blend and Boost. This brand is Canadian-based and very unique. It really personalizes the world of skincare, creating products based on your own specific skin concerns. I’m not using one that was exactly personalized for me, but I use one of their general blends, consisting of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is an amazing ingredient that I see myself favouring in a lot of skincare products. This moisturizer is in a bottle that makes me feel more hygienic about using it, compared to scooping out of a tub. It really helps provide a surge of Vitamin C to help brighten and rebuild my skin. It has a light fresh scent and helps provide the perfect amount of moisture that my skin needs.
Adding that Hollywood Radiance
If you’re scrolling through Instagram or clicking through beauty videos on YouTube, it’s highly likely that this product comes as no surprise. The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter is an illuminating liquid product that is all the rage right now for radiant skin. It is described as a “complexion booster” and that’s a perfect name for this type of product. It’s not skincare, but it’s not full-on makeup. You can use this product under your makeup, or over top, to add that extra bit of radiance. You can use it with makeup, or apply it alone for that perfect glow from within, but also on the outside as well. People have been finding many ways to use this product, but I prefer to use it mostly under my makeup. I apply it wherever I would normally add my highlight, just to boost up the glow factor. When it comes to foundation, I have toned down on the desire for a matte finish, so it doesn’t completely wipe it out when I’m all done my makeup. I have the lightest shade in the range and find it works wonders for me.
These are just three of the products that I chose to discuss, but there are so many more that I could ramble on about. Do you have any favourites for radiant skin? Let me know in the comments!
