My First Impressions of Farmacy Beauty

You know when you are feeling pretty confident in your skin care routine, but then your skin goes a little (or a lot) out of line? This has been happening to me quite a few times over the past year. I’ll have a few good days of well-behaved skin and then wake up the next morning with a completely different situation to deal with. Solution? Find something that works to fix the issue until it works. The lovely people over at Farmacy Beauty sent over a little box of goodies for me to try out and maybe solve at least one of my skin issues.

I have always seen Farmacy products in Sephora during my many visits to the stores, but never really tried too many products out except for deluxe samples of the Honey Savior All-In-One Skin Repair Salve which I really took a liking to. Thanks to the box of the few products I received, I finally got to try out a few products. All of the following products contain Farmacy’s signature Echinacea GreenEnvy™, which helps protect and firm the skin while helping maintain a more evenly toned complexion. Keep reading for my thoughts on the four products I have been testing out!

First Impressions of Farmacy Products

One of the brand’s newest releases is the Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer. I have a couple moisturizers that I’m getting along with at the moment, but it doesn’t hurt to add one more into the mix. Inside this perfectly packaged jar, this new product is a long-lasting, lightweight moisturizer that keeps your skin smooth and soft all day long. This jar comes with a spatula that is actually magnetic to the lid, so you never have to lose it! It can always stick with the jar no matter what. Such a brilliant idea! A spatula is a much more hygienic way to remove the product compared to sticking your fingers in. I can agree that this moisturizer is very lightweight and moisturizing. I’m excited to continue to use this one in my rotation of moisturizers.

Instantly one of my favourites of the bunch is the Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm. I have used cleansing balms and oils in the past, but this one has honestly taken the number one spot for a cleanser to remove my makeup. I have reasons to back this up! One, the scent. To me, this product smells like a lime gelato, so that’s pretty awesome. Two, there is a spatula inside the lid to help you scoop out the balm product. Again with hygienic packaging. Three, it really works. It cleanses the skin of all your makeup and leaves it really clean, without feeling completely stripped. It is quite hydrating for a cleanser. A definite plus! I highly recommend this product if you are a fan of cleaning balms, or just need a new cleanser.

Next, the Green Screen Daily Environmental Protector Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30. One thing I didn’t have in my skin care routine was a sunscreen that wasn’t already mixed in with some sort of BB cream or foundation-like product. This is a gentle complete broad spectrum SPF 30 physical sunscreen. A decent amount of sun protection that I plan to incorporate on a daily basis now. I need to start guarding my skin against the environmental factors associated with skin’s ageing. I have been slacking with SPF and it has definitely become an important step these days. It goes on the skin easily and smoothly and leaves the skin with a healthy, youthful, and a more even-toned complexion.

Lastly, the New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains is the type of product I am always worry about. Cleansers are usually gentle and don’t irritate the skin much at all, but exfoliators are different for me. My skin is rather sensitive (read: very sensitive) and exfoliating it can be tricky. This cleansing face exfoliator from Farmacy transforms from a powder into a gentle, foaming exfoliating cream with the addition of water. It’s a one stop shop for cleansing, exfoliating, and clarifying. When I feel my skin is a having a rough day, this product will help unclog my pores and exfoliate the dead skin away. Not an everyday product, but something to keep on hand for those rough days.

Have you tried anything from Farmacy? Please let me know what else I need to try from the brand! My first impressions were all really positive and I am really loving what this brand has created.
